Troy M. Robinson

Troy M. Robinson is President & CEO of
BankTexas, a position he has held since
1998. He is also President of BT
Holdings, the parent company of BankTexas,
which he co-founded in 2006. In these
capacities, he oversees strategy and
operations while positioning for long-term
growth.
Mr. Robinson has held several leadership
positions since joining the bank in 1981,
including roles in Operations,
Information/Technology and ultimately
Lending. He became an officer of the bank in
1984, a Vice President in 1989 and Senior
Vice President in 1994.
In 2006, Mr. Robinson and fellow members of
the BankTexas board of directors founded BT
Holdings, an independent bank holding
company, to buy and own BankTexas. Mr.
Robinson had been a Director of BankTexas'
prior holding company, Quitman
Bancorporation, since 1994, and he or
members of his family had been investors in
it for four decades.
Mr. Robinson is Secretary-Treasurer of the
Independent Bankers Association of Texas and
Chairman-Elect of IBAT Services, Inc. He
serves or has served on the boards of
directors of East Texas Development
Corporation, East Texas Mental Health,
Quitman Chamber of Commerce, Quitman Public
Library, Quitman Industrial Foundation and
Quitman Rotary Club; he has also served as
Mayor Pro-Tem of the City of Quitman.
Mr. Robinson received a B.B.A. degreee from
Texas A&M University in 1979, and is also a
graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School
of Banking at Southern Methodist University.
