BankTexas provides courtesy overdraft protection on personal checking

accounts.  There is no additional cost for this enhancement, and it is

offered to customers without enrollment.

How it works:

  • We assign an initial courtesy overdraft limit of $300 to any one of your personal checking accounts.  If you have just opened your account, there will be a 30-day delay before this feature becomes available         to you.

  • This feature may be used to pay checks or debits, including any NSF fees – up to your $300 overdraft limit – if there are insufficient funds in your account.

  • Once the bank has paid the item, a notice will be mailed to inform you  of what was paid on your behalf, and the amount you are overdrawn.  You will have up to 30 days to bring the account back to a               positive balance.

Benefits:

  • Avoid an embarrassing situation: you won’t have to pick up checks   from merchants because your bank has honored them – up to your $300 limit.

  • Enrollment is automatic.

Fees:

  • Enrollment: Free

  • Each Item Paid: $25

Please note: certain circumstances may require us to take action different

than that as described above.  If you have any questions, please contact us >>
