TODAY: Growing Strong
By 2003 we had offices in Quitman, Mineola, and Holly Lake Ranch. We also unveiled eBank, our online office, and became the first bank headquartered in Wood County to offer free online banking and bill payment. In January 2005, First National Bank officially changed its name to BankTexas, reflecting a desire for continued growth and the need to eliminate confusion with other banks of the same name.
We’re growing strong. Today, BankTexas boasts total assets of almost $150 million and 57 employees serving customers throughout East Texas.
Plenty has changed in the hundred-plus years since Uncle Bill first opened our doors, but our values remain the same. We’re committed to serving our customers and community, embracing technology, making life easier, and treating people right.
Stop by and see us sometime soon. Our doors are open.
