1985—2000: Technology Changes the Game

We’ve always been friends of progress.  In the 60’s, we introduced “Drive-Thru Banking,” where customers

could see a teller without ever leaving their cars.   And in the 90’s, we embraced technology, training our

employees on computers and rolling out a steady stream of new products: digitized images of checks,

telephone banking, debit cards, and much more.  Our competitors still have a hard time keeping pace.

Also in the 90’s, we opened an office inside Wal-Mart Supercenter in Mineola, Texas.  This in-store office

offers most of the services of a traditional, brick-and mortar office, but with a convenient location and

  longer hours.
